It is truly a shame that I have to live and witness the ones I love pass before I do. The worst part is, is that there is nothing i can do to stop this. It's one of many phobias I have that i'm sure most people can relate.

It's true that there are many things that we have no control over whatsoever. Death is one of those things and sad and uncertain as well. That can make it frightening.
But .. it can also be relieving that there is no control, because that means there is nothing for us to do. I think sometimes the tension of anxiety is about that feeling that there is something that needs to be done, but sometimes there isn't anything to be done. When we can take that in, then it can be relieving because it relieves the idea of 'something needing to be done'.

Thank you for your replies! It is very true sometimes it's good we don't have control because..well...sometimes we have to lose something to know just how much it meant to us and in some ways...that is a beautiful thing.
