I never feel as if I am getting enough air when I am breathing, so I frequently press my hand over my nose and take a deep breath to make sure I am getting enough air, I guess. I also do this when there is something triggering my germaphobia. Another this is, that certain noises intensely bother me, so much that there is actually physical pain. If I hear a noise I don't like, or even just think about it, I will need to touch my ears, and sort of crack the ear bones like you would your knuckles, if that is possible. If I don't do this, I will be in pain with extreme anxiety and on the verge of breaking down into tears until I touch my ears. Sometimes I do this so often that it actually starts to hurt to touch my ears. If somebody could please tell me why this is happening, or how I can fix it, or even just let me know that I am not alone with this, that would be really really really great. Thank you.

This probably won't help much, but I did see something on a show called"the doctors" about a girl who had intense horrible feelings, like physical pain..when she heard certain noises. There was a name for this condition...but I can't remember, sorry..but maybe if you llok it up you can still find the show about it. Good luck.

You have a sensory disorder. I used to work w/ autistic people who had sensory pain. My son has a lot of sensory issues too.
