How old is he? Is he a poor driver? Your feelings might be justified! What do other people say about it who know the both of you?

He's 25; but he's gotten in a couple of accidents--once with me in the car! He's gotten better, but he's been known to "space out" while driving. Plus he's had a few cars that were real clunkers, and have broken down on highways and stuff. And I have anxiety about being in a car anyway which is why I don't drive.

I can understand your anxiety, then. Can you ride with somebody else if you have to--or take public transportation?

Shortandcute,
I hear you. My 16 year old son just got his license last week. Yikes! Good news is I do have something to give him an incentive-B average or no driving. Actually, he drives better than my H does.
