I used to be scared of people too. How old are you, if I can ask that? Also, is there a logical reason to be scared of them? Like, is someone threatening you, or do people pick on you, or do you live in a dangerous area?

Edit: I see you started a third thread in this subforum, but really these threads are related. It might be an idea to delete the elevator one. Anyway, is there any special reason people in the elevator scare you? Where I live, people in the elevator are neutrally friendly or just stare at the wall or the flashing numbers. What about where you are?
Thanks for this!

I know this feeling. Only getting out there will help.
It helps, sometimes, to remind yourself that people just really aren't that interested in you to be bothered judging; and even if there were something about your appearance you think would cause a "judgement" it is nothing anyone will spend more than a nanosecond thinking about.
Go out lift your head, say hello..... it is your world too.
Thanks for this!

You can vanquish the feelings if you keep trying. Try to imagine they are a radio that someone turned up. You have to keep turning it down until it stays down. Other people are in their own heads, but for the few who might notice you, well, we all make judgments sometimes. They don't matter much. It's good you can see there's no logical reason, and good you are not in danger. If you focus on some things, they push other things out of your mind.

I also often get the sense of being judged, in any environment. I find it helpful to distract myself when these things happen to me, something like music works for me.

I hope you find some relief soon.
