Have been slightly anxious all my life, but it has never really stopped me from doing anything. I had a panic attack for the first time about a month ago, but didn't have another one until about 5 days ago, and have since been extremely anxious that I would have one again in a public place (and have been very anxious in general). I've been feeling so anxious lately that I can hardly eat and feel nauseous. I haven't been able to attend school or go to the gym (which I am upset that my anxiety is holding me back). I tried to go to the gym yesterday but I threw up in the car half way there. I have friends and I don't really struggle socially. I feel like this extremely anxiety has come on for no reason, although I assume it has something to do with my dog passing away about 2 months ago. I really wish I can go to school and gym without throwing up again, and if I miss too much school I will have to leave (which I don't want to do, I'm halfway through and getting mostly A's). Can anyone relate or offer some advice? Sorry for the large wall of text.

Maybe make a doctor's appointment and have some labs done to see if you have some medical issues.

I have been to a doctor, they think its just extreme anxiety, and I am pretty sure it is only anxiety. I'm hoping it subsides on its own.

I'm so sorry for your dog. It could be that you are having a hard time coping after your dog passed away. Have you talked to anyone about your feelings? Or perhaps it is not one event but several things that are making you so anxious. Do you have any stress at school or in your private life? Are you sleeping enough?
Anxiety rarely passes on its own from my experience. This is why I would suggest you actively try to find solutions. Maybe you could benefit from a few therapy sessions to really intensely deal with the things that have been stressing you out lately. I don't know if you have tried anxiety medication but it might be a good short term solution. Another thing that I would do is check blood levels for any hormonal imbalances or vitamin/mineral deficiencies, because those things can also cause anxiety symptoms. I was also told Chi Gong is supposed to help to calm down. Take vitamin supplements (especially B Vitamins and omega 3) and also if you haven't tried yet, you could try some natural remedies such as kava or valerian. I hope you feel better soon. Take care

thanks for the response. I think that its a combination of school and my dog passing. I am in my final year and I have high expectations of myself to do well, I've probably put too much pressure on myself. Other than that, I don't really have any other problems in my private life. My dog had a terminal illness so for the months before my dog passed I was constantly going to and from school to look after her (live within walking distance to school), I was also studying hard and did extra-curricular activities. I believe now that I don't have to worry about looking after my dog, and I'm on top of my study I have time to be anxious and the stress from the past months has got to me. I'm feeling better, not great but better. I am into weightlifting and nutrition so I take a few supplements (including vitamins) so it probably isn't a deficiency. My doctor has given me some Alepam (benzo), so I'm hoping that once I'm confident I wont have a panic attack/throw up in a public place I'll be almost back to normal.
