Hello everyone!
I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety a couple of months ago and my doc put me on Cymbalta 120 mgs a day to help with that and also my depression. That Cymbalta by itself does wonders for my anxiety, and helps with my depression but my doc just recently put me on focalin xr because I'm still extremely tired throughout the day. I think it may be increasing my anxiety cause today was the first day where I felt like I did before as far as my anxiety goes. I feel like I'm having to choose between being awake and having anxiety.

At any rate long story short my question is does anyone know of anyway to help with anxiety besides medication? Any suggestions would help cause I feel like I have a 50 lb weight off my chest and I would love to be able to breathe again!

It is great you've found a medication that helps with anxiety and depression (Cymbalta). Focalin in a stimulant as I am sure you know. The feeling of having a weight on your chest could be a side effect of the med. If you have another day of feeling anxious then perhaps it is not the med for you. Just stopping it and allowing the Cymbalta to work may be enough and perhaps the anxiety will subside again. A trial of another stimulant for fatigue might be in order.

It's possible the side effect of anxiety may subside. Also, have you tried other means of increasing energy outside of additional medication? For example: Exercise, sleep patterns, etc (not caffeine )
