So in my head, it sounds good and it sounds like I can say it without any problems. But when I actually say it, I get all flustered and sometimes end up not making any sense, and it's extremely embarrassing. It doesn't matter if I'm talking to my friends mom or a pretty girl, I still get flustered!

What's wrong with me and why does this happen?

Lack of confidence and self esteem. When I speak with people (usually because I have to) I start to question what I say as I say it which makes me speak slowly or take long pauses between words. Or in the middle of expressing a thought I just say "whatever" and cut the conversation short.

Personally it all stems from self hate and thinking the person I am speaking too doesn't really care what I have to say and I'm just wasting their time.

I'm the same way! I always pause, and I either end with "and yeah" or "never mind"!
