I suffer from several years of this disorder.

Sometimes I believe that I'm afraid of change.

As if I had anchored in this absolute certainty about childish facial features not to grow mentally.

These are two pictures of my face. Do you think that my features face are too fine, too sweet, too delicate for a 28-years-old man? Or my features are allright and masculine? Especially in the picture with face shaved. I'm overweight, and from 2 months I come to gym 3-4 times a week.

So you can see that my BDD is completely or partially true.

PLEASE believe me when I say that you look COMPLETELY normal. Looking at your pictures I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I've had BDD since I was in my early teens, nearly ten whole years. I know the complete ******** it tells you. Are you getting any treatment for your BDD?

No way! You don't look too feminine at all! You're actually a pretty good looking guy to be honest. You have no distinguishable negative features in either photo you posted. Maybe you're a little bit bigger than average, but personally I prefer a bigger guy over a stick thin guy. I want to be with a man, not a prepubescent girl and I know a lot of women (and men too) who agree with me. I think the one where you are clean shaven might be a slightly more unflattering picture than the one on the bottom, but you are really fine in both photos.

I know that BDD is not something that someone on the Internet can just fix by telling you that you look fine. I hope you're talking with a professional about this. But if I were too see you walking around, I'd think that I like your hair color and that you've got a nice, warm smile. Your looks really aren't holding you back. It's just your perception of them.

Men with a good sense of humor, and laughter are an asset I enjoy in men.

The ones who stand out:
they are the ones that stand out in my life, we have been companions, and enjoyed that first, as attraction and chemistry will wane in the long run. At least my experience. Yes, you appear to be a likeable guy and that is what your pictures shows me.

best of luck
Jade

You look 100% normal. Before I read the post, I wondered if you were posting pictures of what you wished you looked like.
Thanks for this!

You are disgustingly normal lol. I'm just kidding. You really look like... well like a average guy.
I think one of you with BDD should see about starting a BDD forum here if there isn't one already.
It might be helpful.
Thanks for this!

Thanks everybody!

My personal history is complicated. The BDD began when I was 18 and go to university (in Italy, my country).

I have a "love-hate" relationship with my facial features.

In particular I see my jaw too narrow, too rounded, also my forehead narrow and rounded, similar to a feminine forehead, my nose too little and too large cheekbones that make my face more feminine than masculine, in my opinion obviously.

Another question haunts me, and it's the worst for me:
the shape of my skull.

I see it on the mirror head-to-toe, egg-shaped, skull pointed.

Do you also notice this or it seems skull pointed, egg-shaped head to me only?

Anybody say to me if my head is really too egg-shaped with pointed skull shape?

It's very important for me, a confirmation about my bdd and my obsession.

It's not a joke. I feel so bad thinking about the shape of my head, and that someone might laugh when see my head.
