I locked my doors, closed all my blinds, and ran away from the window when I saw someone outside. I'm afraid to leave my house and can't even smoke on my porch. My heart pounded when I was in my backyard. Every time my upstairs neighbor moves, I panic. This has never happened to me before. This is scary

I understand the agoraphobia. Have you been diagnosed with it? If not, you may want to call your doctor asap. Before I took meds for my schizophrenia, I had symptoms of agoraphobia. I was scared out of my mind. I even yelled at my neighbor to stop being so nosy. I was turning in to a hermit, and driving people away from me. It's pretty scary not to trust anyone.I hope you find the support you are looking for here at PC.

Sincerely,

Piraeus

That sounds really scary. Are you OK with calling people? Can you talk to a therapist about this?
How does the idea of opening an outside door sound? Not going out, but opening it and stepping back, and doing something else, just for a few minutes.

Is it too scary? Is it something you can try? Maybe just a window?

I've been on the phone all day. I've been able to step outside, but ran back in if I see a neighbor. I'm seeing a T on Thursday.
