I had my disability hearing yesterday--the attorney had all of my medical records except for the ones from my present doctor. I knew my attorney has attempted to get them, but he still hadn't gotten them yet, and that's about all the judge needed to see yet. I found out today that the reason he couldn't obtain them is because they charge 23 dollars for them, but instead of just telling the attorney that, they just didn't respond to him at all, expecting him to just know they charged, and they were waiting for the moneys he didn't even know about.

p.s. I posted this in the anxiety section because rite now I am very anxious.

Oh, yeah, the dreaded chase of medical records for disability. I'm going through the exact same thing now. I got an attorney but he is having me get all of my own medical records and then send them to him. I only have 2 more doctors to go...good luck.....D.

Thanx! I took money out of my savings yesterday and went straight over to the doc's office to get the records I needed. She brought them out in five or ten minutes, and decided not to charge me for them! She must've felt sorry for me! lol Anyway, I am going to my attorneys office on Monday to make sure he gets them--and that is all that's needed. As soon as the attorney shows the judge the papers, she will make a decision.
