I have a weird thing about the number 6. Actually 666 and the bibical references to it.

I avoid six all the time. Numbers in general that I see anywhere. And it is really annoying cuz it expands to not just six - but anything that ADD or SUBTRACTS or MULTIPLIES or DIVIDES to 6 or 666 or even 6 with a 3 (thus six three time).

If my odometer has a six in it anywhere - I will continue to drive until it goes away (if I can).

I don't think anyone here will laugh at you. We all have our issues.
Are you seeing a T or pdoc?

Sounds like OCD. I have a thing about the numbers 3, 7, and rarely 17.

Nobody is laughing at you. It is effecting your life I would suggest talking to a professional about it. Best Wishes to you.

I have a friend who has a phobia of the number six.

In most or all states in the US, and possibly other places, there are no license plate numbers with three 6's in a row. That's how pervasive the fear for that number is.

Whether you wish to see a therapist about it or not depends on how much this fear affects your quality of life, or whether there are other related issues you have to work through. You were able to type the number. That's a sign in your favor. But I don't see this as anything you should be ashamed of.
