I suffer from anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder and depression. I have a hard time keeping these things in check and have a healthy relationship while parenting 3 children. I've read books, I've tried therapy, medications, and talking to friends. What are some helpful hints to keeping things together under extreme stress?

I have had Anxiety and Depression- no bipolar. But I will say this---for a long time, I felt like nothing was helping me- but from my experience I will say that following all those together-medication, therapy, exercising, and one of things that has been helping me is meditation. I will also suggest, whatever religion or mode of spirituality you follow, use that to draw comfort and strength from. It has helped me tremendously in giving me strength to showing up to most things I would want to avoid due to anxiety. Try soothing instrumental music, as well. I normally have playlists with relaxing music which I play when I cannot sleep due to anxiety or to generally calm me down. Let me know if any of this helps...I will also try to make a list of other things that have helped me over the years.
Take care and don't give up...you're not alone in this!

I have found that scrubbing floors and housework, or mowing the grass, weeding, long walks (purposeful) vs. strolling, really helps to balance me out personally. I hope you feel better soon. May I offer taking some time out for self-care, even 10 minutes may be helpful.

wishing you wellness and health.
