So I ran out of it last Monday, and I'm doing fine. It's just that I've noticed I'm a lot more irritable and I am struggling with more anxiety. Is this normal? Is this withdrawal? I know I'm not physically dependent on it, but is this a sign I'm mentally dependent on it? This may sound bad, but I can't wait to get my prescription refilled so I can stop all this extra anxiety. Does that sound bad I look forward to that?

*Ive also been a bit irresponsible when it comes to my other medication, Paroxetine, so maybe it's just because of that? Like my dosing got all messed up and such from Paroxetine.*

Also, is it ok if I take alprazolam during high anxiety moments or higher than normal anxiety? Is alprazolam only for panic attacks or can it be for higher than normal anxiety? Or high anxiety?

Sounds like you are being irresponible with your meds and it could lead down a dangerous path. Messing with either of your prescribed medications can cause those symptoms. Alprazolam should really only be used for extremely high anxiety or panic attacks.

How long have you been on it and what dose? I'm considering getting off of it. Unlike you I am dependent unfortunately. So it isn't going to be fun.

Well I've been on it for a month and the dose is .25 mg, sometimes I take that other times I'll take .5-.75 mg. I asked my pharmacist if that's ok and he said yeah.

My advise is just be careful with them. I take 3mg a day and that's hard to come off of.

That's Xanax. Why would you ask your pharmacist and not your t? People get hooked on it. Please be careful.

What's a T?

All I have is a dr and a pharmacist. And pharmacists are more knowledgeable about drugs than drs.

A t is a therapist, a psychologist? If you're getting these from your medical doctor without any counseling or therapy, they (the md and the pharmacist) are setting you up for an addiction, imo. They don't tell you how to take the med, they dont help you deal with the causes of your anxiety, then eventually when you need more of the drug for the same calming effect, they may cut you off And accuse you of pill-seeking. I am surprised this is news to you in this day and age. But I'm even more surprised at your dr and pharmacist for starting this loop.

Yeah I just have a normal dr and pharmacist. They told me how to take it and I studied about all the new meds I got.
