I work up a bit anxious this morning. I could be because I did not take me time to get our of bed. I did not do my normal routine of reading my emails on both of my phones. I did not stay in bed for 10 -15 minutes. I had to get and get ready to go. I had to be at my son's school for an event. After that I got news that my mother in law who recently had a cath procedure to make sure she did not have a blockage got a blood clot in her arm and was in much pain. She was given some meds but the pharmacist would not give her the meds because she had recently gotten a vaccine for shingles and would interfere. She had to go back to the hospital because they decide her the meds and was just released because after she went to the hospital they wanted to run some test to figure out which type of blood clot it was. One she would have to stay and the other she could go home. Well after several hours they could not find the clot. Which is awsome. By the way the clot was not small. It spanned from the palm of her hand to her elbow. It was God who got rid of the clot. So that data and the fact that I being weaned off of propranolol which in itself is making me anxious spells hight anxiety today. Monday was the first night I did not take the meds, took it last night as instructed and I actually felt the anxiety go away after I took it. I felt like I could not wait until it was time to take the pill. I was looking at my watch all the time. Now, I know it is my mind because I was doing some baking tonight with the help of my 3 yr old daughter and I totally forgot about everything. Having my little girl helping her dad bake it awsome. Anyone gone through this? This year has been been a hard year. I had my first panic attack in march. Also had one in Amy and a mini one in september. At the end of august my wife's grandmother who was like my own grandmother passed away. Then my wife's sisters mother in law passed away suddenly in mid september a week later her aunt in law passed away from cancer. My mother in law found out she needed to have her mitral valve replaced. Now the blood clot thing and then my wife's other sister's aunt is law does not have much time left either. There has been so much going on I do not know how I have been able to deal with it all. I have been overwhelmed since september. There are many days I am ok. But there are days that I cannot get my thoughts to stop. I get the impending doom feeling and then the tension I get is horrible. It starts at my neck and travels down my back and also my pectoral. The pain makes me feel depressed. Sorry for being so long winded. Just needed to realease. If anyone can relate of have any advice or tips that would be greatly apprecieated. I have been doing CBT therapy and that helps but any other techniques are welcome. Thanks for reading my post.

Does sound like a bunch of added extra stress. Stress does things to our bodies, and hence these physical anxiety reactions. My own anxiety, has been more frequent over the past 1.25 years. I have meds, to take, as needed. Try to make sure, I am getting enough sleep, eating properly, drink plenty of water, these basics, do affect me, if I don't. Especially, the more stress, that I am under.
It's no surprise, that the pleasant distraction from thinking about anxiety, by spending quality time, with your daughter, helped you.
Good news, about the blood clot. Hope your holiday season, is less stressful.

Thank you for your response healingme4me. It's a whole lot of extra stress that I do not need. I have noticed that if I eat fast food or greasy food I feel like crap.
