Hi everyone. Through searching here I haven't been able to find a group/thread concerning misophonia. Am I missing something? If so, please direct me. I'm going crazy listening to this lady chew right next to me in class & need to complain! :P

I have quite a few triggers but chewing, slurping, gulping are the *worst*. I deal with it every school day (M-Th) and try my best just to plug that ear while she's eating. Sometimes it helps, though not for long. I swear she comes in to class with a full breakfast meal to eat. I've explained to her about misophonia but I think it's hard for those who don't suffer with it to understand and remember to be conscious about it.

Yeah I get this to, I don't know what to do about it. let me know if you find ways to cope other than talking to yourself in your head and telling yourself "they aren't doing it to make you angry"

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
