Lately, I'm paranoid that everyone secretly hates me and is talking about me. Often, I worry that I disgust people.

Today, with these two people that I just met, I was so nervous at breakfast that I couldn't stop shaking. They probs think I'm an alcoholic with the shakes.

After, I cried on my floor until a friend came over to take care of me all day. I'm invited to a get together tonight, but I'm afraid to go because I've convinced myself that I'm not wanted.

Is this normal GAD stuff?

Do you have any CBT skills? Sounds like a good time to use them.

Cognitive Behavioural therapy. Perhaps ask your T for some skills. Everything you have written in your post can be combated with CBT.
Thanks for this!

I think it's definitely GAD and BPD behavior actually. Often with BPD we feel as though everyone is judging us and laughing at us. It's a delusion we unfortunately suffer from. I too suffer from social anxiety and avoid seeing friends because it makes me so anxious. I think it's important to keep exposing yourself though. I always regret when I don't go do something because I was too anxious.

I always feel the same way. I agree that going makes you feel less bad than not going. Often when I skip out on events due to my anxiety I feel worse than i would going. It might be fun, if not at least you tried to attend and put yourself into a new situation.
