Does anyone else feel like they have anxiety over literally everything? I can't leave the house without being anxious, go to a store , have a simple social interaction without shaking. Can't make telephone calls or receive them. Have constant irrational anxiety even when I'm alone at home and nothing stressful is happening. Its like most aspects of living leave me shaking with panic. I don't feel like I can't function in society on my own and that's depressing me and worrying me even more.

Hi! Are you sure about all this? If you are living with someone else, I'm sure when he/she leaves the house he/she may call you when you're at home, when that happens, just pick up the phone and say hello!

I really understand what the people say on the forum, as I suffer from agoraphobia, and anxiety panic attacks, for many years.
On June 6th 2013, my husband passed away with Altizheimer, and I am so lost not a day passes that I can be alone now and I cry all the time. I have one son who is very good to me, he phones me from his work at least 6 times every day. My cousin bought this house with us, so he looks after me, but does not understand whatnit is like to suffer like we do. from Blossom

Blue Bird I understand about what you are saying about making phone calls. When I get frustrated I freeze up and can not talk. When I get frustrated I also start crying. Then I panic about freezing up or starting to cry. This only makes things worse.

It's the same here. It changes from day to day and usually happens in new surroundings. However most of the time I am afraid. I don't like to be alone and need constant reassurance. I get the sweats, shakes, pounding heart and when really bad tunnel vision and nausea.

I used to be exactly like this. For years I couldnt leave the house and food shopping was a nightmare. My whole life revolved around my anxiety. I didnt see people for weeks on end, usually the only person I would leave the house for was my pdoc appointments.

I got well and truly fed up with it and decided to tackle it head on, I had done CBT in the past but as time went on I seemed to forget a lot about it. I re-did CBT, an online anxiety management course, exposure therapy and set daily challenges for myself. Eventually I over came it, but it took a heck of a lot of commitment and work. Challenging every single anxious thought that crossed my mind was hard and long tiring work but it paid off.

Sorry to hear! For my anxiety it's all about the meds...benzos and SSRIs help dramatically. Best of luck!

Yes, absolutely everything for me has anxiety/panic attached to it, to one degree or another. I'm on so many meds, still the anxiety won't let me be. It's exhausting, discouraging, depressing. Sometimes when I self-talk or do some deep breathing I'll get a bit of a break, and feel more objective.

That's how I live, and have done for many, many years. I'm "disabled" by it. So yeah, I can certainly relate.

My anxiety is bad sometimes. I have anxiety when I have to drive. I have anxiety when I'm around knew people. I have anxiety when changes occur in my life. It hard to cope sometimes. I take medication. Propanolol ER and Buspar.
