Is it good? I currently take Prozac, Klonopin, and Xanax for those issues. I'm planning on getting an MM (Medical Marijuana) Card in a few weeks to help anxiety, depression and weight gain (I have CF).

Although I use MMJ myself and to each his own. What worries me are the users I've met and know who use it consistently. They're always high. For anxiety, there's usually a reason. If you use a lot of meds like mmj, how will you figure out what is causing the problem well enough to resolve it? Just my opinion. I use MMJ on occasion for sleep, pain, tics and Misophonia and will usually use it on occasion for anxiety if I'm home for the day and don't want to use Xanax. So I hope I didn't sound hypocritical.
I just hope if you go this route, you educate yourself as much as possible. It helps some things. Figure out which is the best. Sativa is supposed to help depression, Indica can sometimes cause depression, but helps anxiety. So please be careful. |

I like it... but the last week or so I have fallen into bad behaviour and habits with it. I havent gone a day without it in about 8 days, I know this is a bad thing but I just cant seem to care. Its better than feeling crappy. And thats a dangerous way to use it. I know I will stop next week regardless of how I feel, I hope that re-sets the "need" for it.

I think marijuana has a lot of potential for treating anxiety and depression. I know it certainly reduces my anxiety while simutaniously making me more motivated to do things like shower, get out of bed in the morning, clean and whatever else. I think though even though marijuana is a fairly safe drug as far as health concerns its still not a good idea to over-do it.

I think from at least what I understand indica can cause depression like symptoms in some people such as lack of motivation....but not sure its the same thing as causing depression. Lazing around while under the influence of marijuana feels much better than lazing around under the influence of depression...at least with the marijuana I might get up and make something to eat when I get hungry.

I guess it would depend on your tolerance to it. I used to self- medicate my anxiety with mm (back in the stone age before there WAS MM & before I knew there was a name for my anxiety. Worked for me for yrs. but had to quit as I got older because it started to Cause me anxiety. I trust nature over FDA's "wonder drugs" any day though! New drug today = a new lawsuit tomorrow, We're all just government guinea pigs anyway if you ask me.
