Hey all

My Dr previously tried me on Citolopram, I didn't react very well and ended up being very ill. Now I've been prescribed sertraline but I'm not sure if this provokes a worse reaction in most people. Anyone's experience will be valued.

Thanks

It is individual. Those two are different enough to give you different type side effects. It might be that you don't tolerate the new med either, but you have to try. My own experience is that those two were very different.

I have to agree with Jimrat it's individual with meds. For me the first was working in the right direction and then I broke out into hives so I was switched to the latter. It gave me terrible headaches and made me feel real slow and heavy-like. Best of luck to you.

I take sertiline. The side affects were hard to get a handle on in the beginning. I had increased panic attacks. I just cut a 25 mg in half for a few days. Now I take 200. No side affects what so ever. Wait let me take that back. It killed my sex drive. No chance in having another child. You have to sleep w/ some one first. No desire. See it's better than birth control.

Sertraline cut your sex drive? I've been taking it for about 5 months now and seriously, I have 0 sex drive. No desire at all.
My wife said to me just last night that she didn't get married to not have sex.
May have to quit that medication out.

Sertraline killed it. I didn't have a huge sex drive before meds. But the med TOTALLY and COMPLETELY killed it. I added wellbutrin but the side affects were not worth it. Back to no sex sertrailine. It did give me back my life though. I don't ever plan on giving up sertraline.
