Greetings all,
I suffer from a potent mix of OCD and GAD. I'm maxed out on Lexapro dosage. On top of this, I am an alcoholic, and have for the past few years drank heavily on and off. I've noticed that over the past 3 or so years, my anxiety/OCD has become progressively worse. To the point where my anxiety causes strange feelings of derealization that are rather unpleasant. Which I hadn't experienced until recently (within the last year and a half). It only seems to be getting worse. The only factor that I can think of that could be causing this is the alcohol. What are your thoughts on my hypothesis? Any links to helpful articles? Regardless, I am working on sustained sobriety. My career and my livelihood depend on it.
