I know it's bad, but my anxiety has been so bad the last few days that I have been using Darvocet to help aleve the discomfort. I had the meds from a recent surgery and kept them "just in case".
I know it is wrong, but I am trying to just feel better. My other meds don't seem to be helping.
Thankfully I go to pdoc on Thursday. Maybe need something else.
IDK, but I had to tell someone what I was doing. I don't really need a response, but I needed to let someone know because I feel bad about needing to use the Darvocet to feel better.
I don't like it when I can't calm myself down.

how much Darvocet? Darvocet is on the low end of the scale of painkillers. i take 100mg daily for pain and am not concerned about it.

talk to your doctor and find out how he feels about it. he might have something else he's rather you take. good luck, pat

Hey Pat,
Mine is 100mg too. The only reason I am concerned is because it seems I have gone from drinking to pills. It's like I always have to have some sort of crutch there. I hate it. I have a sister who is a drug addict and I am always all over her for being a druggie and I just don't want to go down that same path.
I go see a psych for the first time on Thursday. My PCP is the one that is giving me Zoloft, Remeron and Ambien, but she says she doesn't think they are right so that is why I am finally going to a Pdoc.
Using Darvocet to help

Not to cosign self medicating but just be cautious when operating heavy machinery(your car counts in that category) and be sure to show up for that appt with your new Pdoc this week and discuss your situation and your options.

Hope you can find the right plan to find that "level" in your life

Peace to you

Thanks Breezer. I only take the meds at night cause I am to scared that I might get too dizzy and do something.
As nervous as I am about meeting him, I am also excited about trying to figure out what my body needs as far as meds go.
