Hey everyone, I was wondering if any of you have taken up herbal supplements as a "cushion" for your existing anxiety medication.

I've begun to experiment with L-theanine, taking it at the same time as my citalopram, then again once I go to bed. It seems to help me sleep (which was much needed), but it also has little effect on my anxiety. (I may try upping my dosage!)

What kinds of herbal supplements do you take? Are they working?

Lately, I've been taking 200mg of L-Theanine a day.
Thanks for this!

Someone gave me this for my birthday, and it has been pretty amazing!
Amazon.com: Rainbow Light Busy Brain Release, Coenzymate B, 60 Mini-Tabs: Health & Personal Care
It has L-theanine in it as well as some other stuff. It's pretty great. My pdoc gave me gabapentin for my anxiety (which does very little) and so I generally take this when I'm about to take a test or something.
Good luck! Hope you find something that works well!
