I've been waiting for over a month to do the intensive outpatient therapy program. No one sent me to it, but it was suggested. I wanted to do it because my life was out of control and I needed focused help. Now I'm doing three times a week group therapy and once a week individual. If I need to meet with the PDoc it's another session. Next week I have therapy every day. I've been anxious that I don't have enough time to process what goes on in the sessions. I'm afraid it will become overwhelming. But like I said, I chose this program and this type of therapy. Has anyone else had a similar experience when starting a program? Any suggestions?

maybe think about putting an hour aside each night to journal your thoughts about what happens in group/therapy will help you process what is going on. it does sound like you have a lot going on but I am sure that it will be worth it. or you ccould use your ind therapy to process what is going on in group. take care.
