Hello everyone!
I hope you're all doing great. For a number of years there have been a couple constants in my life. Constants like, I tend to skew towards depression, I'm constantly tired, and getting projects, like in college or now at work, is nearly impossible. Let me walk you through my cycle: I build up every task in my mind to seem impossible. I don't complete it in time. I end up feeling embarrassed and frustrated. I can't help but think that I should do great work. Without a doubt I repeat this cycle again and again. Recently I've wondered if my anxiety and depression are linked to my constant fatigue. I sleep in on the weekends and I still feel tired. While my peers and I have a 10 hour day at work I'm constantly more fatigued than others. I'm completely new here and am looking to get a better understanding of myself and what I could do to improve my situation. Have you all been in a similar situation? What has helped you? |

Hi. yes depression especailly can drain your energy. You don't say if you are on any medication but that can do it, too. If you haven't seen a psychiatrist yet, it might be a good idea.
As far as your work and school projects, I would suggest you take a pencil and paper and break the projects down into steps that are small enough you can handle. Do only one small step at a time and it won't be so overwhelming. Hope this helps.
