Hello, I am so nervous even writing this. Well, here goes... This Thursday, I am going to be introduced as the chairperson for fundraising, to a group of parents at our classical ballet studio. I am terrified. I have worked in the public for many years, I teach religion at two different churches and still this scares me. I have been going on line trying to get all of the information on fundraising and I am driving myself nuts.
All I feel is; they will think I am stupid, why would anyone listen to you and of course the one that just popped into my head they will make fun of me. I still hear all of that I heard 45 years ago and, I don't want this. I want to walk in there with confidence and be assured but all I hear is "why are you doing this you are going to look like a fool". The anxiety is so high I am overwhelmed with nerves.
I am just so tired of the voices of my past controlling my life.
Thanks for listening
Hugs from:

Hello and welcome! I would think anyone would be a bit nervous, if they have never done something like that before. Can you find out what was done in the past? And solicit ideas from the committee members. The chair doesn't have to come up with everything, just coordinate things.
