Hi! As i've said in a previous post i've always had anxiety and panic attacks every now and then. They would usually last 1-3 days but since a week or two they seem to not disappear with anything :s
It all started when i visited the doctor because i had neck pain and he said i had one cervical disk damaged because of mountain biking (i used to exercise when anxious). I was stressed because i thought it was something bad, but after seeing it wasn't too serious the anxiety disappeared. The thing now is that lately my brain has been feeling "off".. Like i can't think words straight, my thoughts are all foggy, i forget things instantly and remember them a minute later, i mess words up, it's harder for me to translate from english (i'm spanish), my ears ring, i can't concentrate right, i obsess about all of the above, i'm more irritable, noises and other things can make me more anxious, sweating, headaches... I would like to hear some tips to keep my mind "cool" without thinking too much. I've tried all kinds of relaxing things like meditating, listening to music, TV, videogames... but i can't seem to enjoy them and my anxiety is out of control... I've asked for a doctor visit, but i won't have a normal doctor visit untill the 16th of September and the psychologist visit is the 29th of October, i really don't know how to keep on going anymore >.< |

Hello, Soul~, and welcome to Psych Central! Can you go to an emergency clinic or emergency room? It does sound like you need some help soon. Maybe they can check you over and give you something to help calm you down in the meantime.

Quote:
Personally, I have tinnitus (ringing in the ears) which is caused by a condition called: Meniere's Disease. It is a condition of the inner ear. Based on my own experience, I would have to day Meniere's Disease can also cause some of the problems you describe. But, of course, this is just a shot in the dark, as we say. Your physician is your best source of insight at this point with regard to what's happening with you. Best wishes... ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the answers people!
I can go to an emergency room, but it's just a primary attention center (since i live in a small town), so i don't think they'll do much >.< I could go to the nearest hospital but my parents say that it's just stress and that i should go out more s: What scares ne most right now is that the doctor appointment won't do much since he will only send me to a specialist (which I'll have to wait months until he visits ne), and the studies are gonna be harder than every this year... so I'm afraid i will just fail with my brain all foggy.. And when it comes to falls and hits, I haven't received anything in years, i don't smoke and i don't drink either. I just remember that i went to visit my grandma, had a perfectly normal day, and when i went to sleep that night a panic attack showed up. My mind has been feeling "foggy" full of stress, anxiety and just more dumb than usual >.< |
