Hello,

I don't know where to post this. I've always felt anxious around people but often in social gatherings or simply going out to the shops makes me feel collapsed inside. I keep thinking everyone hates me and this is reinforced when I get ignored all the time.

People give me funny looks and then act like I'm not there. No one ever asks how I am today. I feel like an outcast. I have trouble making friends with everyone and can't interact with people.

Relatives think I'm a monster all because I used to run away from family gatherings and yes I argued a lot too. People think I'm not human because no one understands how I feel. When I had cancer a while ago, no one sent me a Get Well message and didn't have any visitors in hospital. I had to make my own way to hospital and back home. When I recovered no one spoke to me and I assume they wanted me to die.

Overall I'm really wondering why people are so nasty and what can I do? am I the only one who feels like an outcast?

Way to many people are just mean.

And no you are not the only one who feels like an outcast.

Obviously you're a very sensitive person and the world nowadays is so independently focused, they often lose the simplest of manners. People are into themselves and not into smiling at people on the street or asking them how they are. It's different in smaller communities I believe.

People can be selfish and cruel and I have a hard time dealing with it. I try not isolate myself, because there's things I like to do that involve people.
I've learned to interact with other's, but I don't get too close until I know them better.
I have met some really wonderful people and those are the ones I choose to keep in my life.
Thanks for this!

I do live in a small town where everyone knows each other. Yes people are rude and I guess some of them are too into themselves.

Today I noticed a puppy on it's own and trying to get home and I knocked on the owner's door. I was ignored even though I could hear someone inside talking about me being at their door. I couldn't leave the puppy on it's own and like a good simaritan I knocked again and this woman answered. She gave me a horrible look, was very rude and slammed the door in my face.

I found out that everyone has been talking about me rescueing lost pets and trying to help. Although it's something I do, helping people as I'm charitable by nature, people living here think I'm an interfering *****.

When people do things like shout and yell at their kids or whatever, no one bats an eyelid. When I've tried to control my kids in a tantrum, and I get very nervous in the street, everyone looks at me as if I'm evil.

One rule for them, another for me. Thank you everyone. You're making me realise there are still good people around.

When we do good ,good ppl will follow .Evil will walk away ~is how I see it .
I know what you are trying to say ..ppl do and feel what is convenient to them so I don't worry about being judged.
