I worked as a musician while being treated for severe anxiety and depression. Live and onstage and all that. Crazy huh?
George, I play in bands and get so caught up in the music I don't even notice the crowd.
Thanks for this!

I am a physician assistant working in family practice medicine. The job is a good fit for me, I really feel like it's my calling.

I previously worked at a very toxic office which really triggered a lot of my mental health symptoms, so in the short term it made my anxiety worse. In the long haul, I feel going through anxiety and depression has made me a better medical practitioner.

For me, it's more important that the work environment is compatible. I was an accountant for years and worked in toxic office after toxic office. My years spent as a dog groomer were slightly better, as the coworkers were more balanced.

Now I'm not working other than going to people's houses and grooming three dogs a month. The toxicity at work (when I was an accountant) pretty much crippled me. I doubt I'll ever be able to work for anyone but myself again.
