I'm anxious and feel nausea. I have clonazepam for anxiety. Will it make the nausea worse? Or help?
Thanks to all

Clonazepam doesn't have any specific anti-nausea properties as far as I know. It is also unlikely to worsen nausea.

If nausea isn't a typical part of your experience with anxiety its something to bring up with your doctor next time you see them.

A lot of psych meds have some anti-nausea properties. Most anti-psychotics can be anti-nausea through their dopamine blockade. Several older antihistamines are weak anti-nausea medications.

If nausea isn't a typical anxiety effect for you it could be that you are experiencing gastritis from a virus or food born cause.

Hope you feel well soon.

Ginger will help. Instead of drinking Ginger Ale, just go straight to the source. A lot of chemo patients chew on it because they have so much nausea.

Thanks for the tip. I couldn't get ginger but didn't use the med. I'm going to try that though. I appreciate very much.

No, and it shouldn't make it worse.

I feel all my anxiety in my stomach. It gives me nausea, reflux and indigestion. What I do is sip on some flavored mineral water, because it dilutes my stomach acid that seems to burn its lining, and it
makes me burp. Burping usually gets rid of my nausea. Sometimes I will eat half of a banana. Surprisingly that fruit settles my tummy. If none of these work I will take prochlorperazine (Stemetil) that I get from my family doctor.

I have discovered eating small meals and not skipping them has also reduced the amount of nausea my anxiety gives me.

Apparently Ginger Gravol works.

If the nausea is anxiety induced it should make it better. If it's for another reason, it may make it worse.
