I have a horrific fear of sticky things. I cringe at melting caramel and sticky faced children give me anxiety. I cannot stand the thought of a sucker falling on my shirt because then I would have to pull it over my head. If it got in my hair, I would surely freak out and get in the shower quickly. I have had this since I was very little (maybe four), and it is awful. When I was in sixth grade, a girl squirted a can of orange soda all over me and I wanted to cry. I had to ride home in the car with my legs sticking to the seat. I tried to stay as still as possible to that I didn't cry when I felt that icky pulling feeling on my skin. Getting off my clothes to get in the shower was even worse because I had to peel off the sticky layers. I am really uncomfortable even writing this because of how it makes me feel.

Hello again AmarieSky: Yes, many of us have these types of quirks. I'm not fond of sticky things. But they don't bother me the way they do you. On the other hand, (& I plan to open a Thread on this) whenever I'm someplace high up, such as an observation platform on a high building on near the edge of a cliff, for example, I feel an almost uncontrollable urge to jump! I get nervous & sweaty. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl. Who knows where these things come from? I wish you all the best in your efforts to avoid the sticky!

Thanks for this!

Wow, that is pretty interesting!! I know that I am not scared high places but I also get the urge to jump. It is probably because I have a ridiculous feeling that I have wings that are missing. Good luck with fighting the urge to jump off things! I mean, I really would like you to not because that would be terrible and scary

Not to gross y'all out.
I have fear of vomiting.
When I am sick, & I must, I, of course, get a bucket.
Sure enough.
Every time.
My fear is so great, I not only get a panic attack, but I pass out during the process.
Needless to say, I wake up confused with vomit all over my hair & self.
You see. The bucket tips as I pass out. All over the floor, which I land in, as I faint.
Nice. Huh.
There it is.

Oh no! I am so sorry I am pretty alright with vomiting because I was bulimic. It is nice to hear that other people have odd phobias as well!
