I am so tired of feeling terrible for no reason (except for anxiety & fear).

It all feels so out of my control. I try all the skills that I've tried to learn in DBT and NOTHING helps. I just want to scream and run away into the deepest, darkest forest. If I could just run away from it. If accepting it would help. It's just not fair. I try & try but I just can't cope with it. I try to hold out against it until I'm just exhausted and in tears. Then I "give in" and take some Xanax. I hate to, but I just can't try any harder.

Basically you just hang in, keep trying, and hope it gets better. How long has it been this way? Be glad Xanax helps... it never did anything for me.

Sorry the med doesn't work for you. Have you tried others? I hope you have found something that gives you temporary relief. My therapist assures me that using medication relief now and then is okay.
I've had this really, forever. At least since my late childhood/early teens. How about you? What sort of history do you have?
What do your words translate to in English?

I find that distraction can help me at times. Do you have any hobbies or tv shows/books you enjoy? If can be good to try and compartmentalize- deal with the underlying problems in therapy, but during your everyday life, try keeping yourself busy. I know that doesn't always work in all situations, but I thought it might still be good to suggest it.

Thanks OCDToOvercome. Good suggestion. Now that our gardening season is over I find I need to "dig into" other activities. I do try to have a good walk every day. Thanks again. All the best.

I use clonazepam. Its the only anxiety med that has ever really worked for me. Physical activity helps too as does zoning out to relaxing music.
My problem now is not so much anxiety as depression. That is the way most would see it. I see it as disillusionment and seeing the world a bit too clearly.
The words below the tiger? Basically me questioning if its all just a dream and if it really matters when its all over.

Try to keep your mind busy all the time so the negative thoughts will not lock your brain. Do what makes you happy, outdoor activities, indoor activities, painting, sculpting, anything you like. This way you will forget about how it feels sad and unhappy. Do happy things and happiness will come in time.

I don't use meds due to past addiction issues. Journaling helps me a lot. I just spill my thoughts and feelings on paper, forget grammar, spelling, etc, just let it all out! I do it every day whether I feel like I need to or not. Also I try to add positives too even on the crappiest days.
