I've never much looked into anxiety on an extensive level as applying to my life but lately i've come to think differently. I have never had trouble with tests or other stressful situations in the past but recently they are driving me "crazy".
Today I had a tiny algebra quiz (a mere 40 pts) but blanked out completely on how to do everything. My face got really hot, dry throat, shaking hands, dizziness, sweating even though it was freezing, and i was almost crying (i NEVER cry..like..ever) and i just couldn't snap out of it but i everyone was talking to me so I had to try to force myself out of it. Eventually it worked, but this sort of thing seems to be recurring anymore. kay so i'm the naive one to ask..is this a panic attack?

hi lil bit......I have the same thing happen at times and it is a anxiety attack.......a panic attack to me is much more severe. They can lead to the full blown attack if you let it. When I say let it I mean don't allow the feeling to scare you...go with it and tell yourself "ok I know that this is my anxiety I'm getting a little excited and it will pass and I will not go crazy. Breath thru your nose and talk yourself into relaxing and that it's going to be ok. Just keep doing what your doing and you will be just fine...take care and god bless.
