Hi guys,
I'm new to this Forums, so I don't know where this is supposed to go, or if I should even post this here. Anyway, I just wanted to say THANK GOD for a place like this, which is beautiful and amazing and we can all find solace with one another. I recently went for a job interview which I really really wanted - and I think I nailed the interview. After the interview, the HR director told me he really enjoyed our conversation and would let me know. Soon enough, the next day, I received an email suggesting that I might be hired for the role. However, I sent in three emails (over a period of two working days) to the HR director asking what's my next step (a logical thing to do). The first two emails were due to a typo: I made a grammatical error and re-sent it. The third email was me being a tad bit neurotic because he didn't reply the first two. And now he has replied but it was short and curt. "It's going well. Will let u know soon," was the reply. I'm now wondering how it's going to go from here. Does anyone have any idea/suggestions? |

I have a suggestion: Don't email him again for at least a week or two. You don't want to put off a bad vibe right now. Stay calm and wait for them to contact you like they said they would.
Don't let yourself start to panic until it's been over a week. At that point it makes sense to send a short and courteous email letting them know that you're unaware of their plans and need to be filled in in order to make your own plans. Give it a little time. You did well in the interview. They told you they're interested in hiring you. They may still be deciding between a couple people. Stay in contact with them, but don't hit them with emails every day. They should communicate with you their decision soon. If they don't (after giving it a couple weeks at LEAST), then you'll want to start taking different steps. But cross that bridge only when you get there, don't force it to come early by emailing them too much. Hope this helps! ![]() |

Yeah don't email him anymore, don't call either. Sending three emails in 2 business days is a little much! I'm sure you're still in the running to be hired, so wait for them to get in touch with you, which may take anywhere from a few days to weeks.
