So I'm absolutely pleased with the way propranolol has helped my anxiety. I can speak in front of large groups and my tremor has been reduced, among other things.
But the nausea. Oh it's intense. I can't deal with it. What can I do to reduce it? Are there other beta blockers that are as effective for anxiety? How effective is atenolol? I'm a welding student. I can't shake and tremble. But I also don't want 30 minutes of brutal nausea after I take the medication every day. I've been taking it for about a month and a half and the nausea still hasn't gone away.

Has your doctor discussed how to treat nausea? If that's the only thing holding you back from claiming it's the right med for you, would something like dramamine or other at home solutions help? I learned when pregnant that lemonade helped with nausea.

Talk to your doctor. Otherwise ginger is great for nausea, and easily obtained and inexpensive at any store that carries herbal supplements.

Thank you for sharing this with us.
I have such a phobia of public speaking IRL - it's never been something I've liked. So it's good to hear suggestions that are out there. |
