Does anyone else get anxiety about catching trains? I do, I don't drive or have a full license so I have to catch a train when i have appointments. Where I live I trains are a place where you see most drug addicts. I have seen so many time where a heroin addicts gets on the train and starts talking **** and cant sit still, that's when i get anxiety and it probably why i hate trains.

So for me to see my Doctors and psychologist I have to catch a train every time. So how do I stop having phobias about catching trains?

Yes, I wanted to give you a quick response and tell you of a situation that I remember last year ozm8ey.

I was under a lot of stress for many reasons.

Now I can't really remember the exact reason as to why I needed to use public transport on this particular day (I never use public transport I drive) - but I think I needed to go into the city and parking space was pretty limited and overly expensive during peak hour and I was worried I would get lost.

I simply didn't catch the train ......

I'm sorry that I didn't answer your question on how to overcome this phobia, as I have not had a need to use this mode of public transport since then.

However, I'm glad you've asked this because hopefully others who have overcome this phobia can offer us some suggestions as it's quite likely that some time in the future I would need to use public transport again

Dear friend

i would suggest you to travel in train with a trusted person( a family member or friend) a couple of times and more important is to go on a fun trip( like going to movies, amusement park). because travelling to see a doc or therapist is already a stressful thing and it only aggravates your anxiety when you have to make the trip in something you fear.

Is it possible for someone to be with you when you catch the train? I'm sorry you have such troubles with trains. I have my own issue with trains but it's to do with the space inside trains.
