Can some please help me. I have been lately struggling with anxiety and feelings of dread regarding the state to the world and nature. Here in the past month or so I have been feeling super anxious and dread that at any second the human race is going to destroy all of nature and its making me sick. I feel so bad because I feel helpless and its out of my hands. Things have only been getting worse as friends keep posting or commenting about reading such things as that " no matter what we do now, if every human stopped driving tomorrow, the polar ice caps are still going to melt faster than ever before; bees are dying out if they die we die" and I can't wrap my head around how everyone e around me and he world doesn't seem to care at all. They ignore it and continue their everyday lives of capitalism. Who has the most stuff when that stuff is killing the earth.I am by no means a hippie, and am guilty of buying things I don't necessarily need as well, but here lately I have been feeling extra bad about it. I have no control, I can't help nature, people r so blind or don't care its making me sad anxious and depressed. I don't know what I can do to help myself not feel like this. Its not going to change because I feel like no one else really cares
Like I said before. I don't understand the selfishness of humans to "need" that killing the whole earth all animal and plant life justifies material objects...how can I get past these feelings. If anyone can shed any light please do so. I feel so bad I dunno what to do.
Hugs from:

I have this worry also. And like you, it boggles my mind that others are not in a panic over it. I think we are just more sensitive.

When I get the feelings you describe, it cripples me. I'm sorry you are struggling and hope you find a solution to your problem.

Best of luck.
Thanks for this!

Yes it is a sad thought and you are I think a better person than most for taking it so seriously.

Most of us who rather agree with you have come to the sad realisation that individually we can do little about it, and personal actions such as choice of consumption or politics has negligible impact. But what else is to be done?

That's how I feel. I want thing to change ,I want to help. But everything that is placed in front of us is to blind most to the truth. Its extremely frustrating and most will look on and call the ones who notice the crazies. Its disgusting how an entire species just turns a blind eye to so much destruction of everything. When there's no food left, no air, no nature will that be enough to say that iPhones, designer clothes, cars all the non essentials were worth destroying everything around them. Its giving me constant anxiety. Medication and councilling are not gonna help or make me turn a blind eye to the rest of societies madness, so why am I forced to experience it. Propaganda and media feed us the b.s things we want but don't need all for the sake of fake money. Its so mind numbingly stupid. And to be surround 24/7 without this feeling is sickening.
