It's not that I don't want to be out in the world, it's that I worry about something happening and not being there to help my boys (2 pets) escape death, or, failing that, go with them. I fear this every day, and have even missed work a few times because I just couldn't leave them. It's getting worse all the time. My T knows, but I don't think she understands the depth of my fear.
Suggestions? Edited to add: Previous roommate problems precludes me getting one to be there when I'm gone. Besides the fact that, while not as bad as "Hoarders" on TV (yeah, we all say that), I'm not a neat person, at all.

Are your pets up there in age?
Is safety gating an area or using a cage, viable solutions? |

Hi Doggie'sdad
If you leave them out food and water the should be okay. Provided they can't get out of the house and get lost. Some people do get a dog sitter to stay with them when they are away. I have known about people who leave it in their wills how they want their dogs to be cared for after they have gone. Take care. I hope and pray you have a really great day. God bless and best wishes from your friend Francis |

Based on their species' average lifespans, one is a mere child and the other a young adult.
What my current fear is a fire. So confining isn't the answer. My apologies. I should have been more clear. Right now I am thinking is a fire sprinkler system in the areas they hang out in. But I have questions I need answered about that. Thanks for your replies.
