So I have emetophobia, fear of throwing up (if this needs a trigger warning, please let me know!) My husband and I went to an event today that involved free drinks. I didn't realize he was as drunk as he was. But when he went to the bathroom, he got sick. Which is a huge trigger for me, like what if it wasn't the alcohol but a stomach bug? And we shared glasses and kissed each other a few times?!? Hoping it was just the alcohol plus pizza. Still paranoid though... Hope this is OK to post (haven't been in this subforum before).

I have emetophobia too. I hear you! I once did the photography for a wedding and after the speeches my business partner had to leave to be sick. He and his entire family had norovirus and I had shared a glass with him! It was just before Christmas and I was terrified is be ill over Christmas. I didn't catch it. Also, my husband got a sick a couple of years back. It was horrendous. I basically bleached everything in the house. I managed to avoid that too. Last time I felt so sick I thought I might have been sick I took some anti-emetics that had been prescribed alongside some antibiotics that could've caused nausea (thank Gid the infection went and I didn't need to take them!). The anti emetics stopped me being sick though I felt pretty nauseous. I'm sure you will be fine. Fingers crossed for you. Let me know that you escape though I'm sure it was the drink. I'm considering asking the doctor for some more anti-emetics (just in case) but not sure how they will react to that. I took Stemetil. Until recently there was one you could get over the counter here called Motilium but they recently made it prescription only! I was gutted. Felt good to have that on me at all times. Hope you're ok.

I'm sure you are going to be ok. Pizza + Alcohol is never a good combination. Does he drink regularly? If not, it could be because of his low alcohol tolerance?
Just an idea! I hope everything works out ![]()
