I am 18 and a freshman in college...I am planning on moving back home instead of staying on campus this week..it's the second week of classes...I just don't feel comfortable here and my roommates and I couldn't be more different. I think it's because a lot of my anxieties are about my family and being around them makes me feel better. Is it bad/weird that I want to leave already? Also my parents say they don't mind me coming home already, but what about what my roommates, what are they going to think?

hi lee,
its not uncommon for first year students who are away from home from their families . my brother who was closest to me in age had that same problem too when he went away for college . don't feel bad its normal for anyone to have anxieties about missing your family .it takes time to adjust to the new surroundings .if you feel you don't feel comfortable with it . its your choice you can either deal with it at face it or your choice to move back home w your family and go to school closer to home .

Diagnosis: Anxiety and depression
meds : Cymbalta 60 mgs at night
Vistaril 25 mgs 2x daily for anxiety prn
50 mgs at night for insomnia
