One thing that I have wondered about is what else is necessary to recover from anxiety. What kind of experiences have you had that show you a ray of hope coping with anxiety and or feeling some breathing room? Bring yourself and any stories or questions to the Anxiety Support Chat on Wednesday night at 8PM EST (EDT) and hang out with people that understand what you are going through...because they are dealing with anxiety also.

Here is an article that could serve as a jumping off point for discussion.
Medication and Anxiety | Psych Central

Quote:
Medication can be an effective approach for managing various types of anxiety such as panic, hyperarousal, and constant worry. However, contrary to popular belief and subtle messages from pharmaceutical companies, medication is far from a cure. In fact, when it comes to “cures” for most psychiatric conditions, the data tends to support psychotherapy.
