Hi everyone,

Just wanted to put this information out here, as I haven't seen anything on the forums about essential oils. I think lavender essential oil is helping my anxiety a little bit. I recently got a diffuser for my lavender. At night (when my anxiety is especially bad), I will put it on for a couple hours, and it helps me sleep. I also put a bit on a cloth under my pillow.
I am finding I am having to take less Ativan now that I have been doing this therapy every night. I also will put the diffuser on during the day, if I am feeling especially anxious, and it helps.
I also drink lavender and chamomile tea at night, and that helps a little with anxiety.
Just make sure the lavender you buy is 100% pure, and your diffuser is a good quality one. I hope this helps someone.
Thanks for this!

I use it in my oil burner and if I having a hard time with anxiety I inhale a few times right from the bottle. It is very calming.
Thanks for this!

Long time lover and user of essential oils. I also put a couple drops in the bath water. Use scented bath oils and salts. Everybody knows I love them and they help. For Christmas my daughter gave me good quality oils and lotions. Been trying to stretch out the last of it.

My daughter makes sugar scrub using essential oils for me. Works wonders.

I once built an air freshener unit thingy using wood, battery pack and fan, and a cotton pad with some vanilla oil on it - I felt so much calmer for weeks

Yes, lavender oil amongst a few others are used to help with anxiety - I use essential oils a lot, I trust tgem more than prescriptions . I also use lavender for headaches and to help me sleep, amongst a few other things. I am glad you enjoy it as much as I do! I use other oils for my other diagnoses.
Thanks for this!

I have recently really gotten into essential oils. I use a rather well known, reputable company to get mine. There are about 4 or 5 that I rely on regularly to help my anxiety and depression, including lavender - but I've also always loved lavender and found it soothing
