I've had anxiety for as long as I can remember. My therapist recently told me about binaural beats, and they're really helping me. Binaural beats are two sounds at the same time. I don't know how it works, but it works for me.

If interested, go to YouTube and search "binaural beats for anxiety and panic attacks." You should be in a quiet place, get comfortable, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing (deep breaths in and out).

It really helps me.

Oh my God I've just tried this for the first time after reading this post. This is absolutely amazing. It took me a few goes to find something that felt right but I have been almost sinking into my chair and falling asleep. This definitely something I will use every day!

Thanks for this. I found a 'gentle rain' one which really seemed to help. I've always found the sound of rain on windows comforting so this was perfect for me

I want to add that you can buy CDs from Amazon regarding binaural beats.

I mention this because it gives you the ability to listen to the binaural beats wherever you are (especially places that increase your anxiety--even to the point of a panic attack).

For example, I used to have a lot of anxiety going into crowded shopping malls. Consequently, I bought a portable CD player (not an expensive one) and headphones (no need to buy expensive headphones), and I play the binaural beats CD I bought from Amazon. I recently went into a crowded shopping mall and had no anxiety at all.

Also, and this goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway), you should view the binaural beats as another tool in your anti-anxiety toolbox. I'm certainly not saying that you should stop taking your meds and just listen to the binaural beats, but it's nice to have something that reduces anxiety that doesn't have side effects.
Thanks for this!
