Hey all
Does anyone feel stress before leaving home or even going on vacations?
I'm going to Mexico soon. I should be excited but I feel dread.. I want to be a carefree bird

Yes me! Even going to the shop which is very close by causes me anxiety. Sometimes I feel light headed and paranoid when I'm out , I used to have full blown pannic attacks while out too. The longer I'm out and the busier the place the harder it is for me. I hope you can enjoy your holiday . I must say my meds do help take the edge off . I'm on antidepressants and a very small dose of anti psycotic meds which helps with the paranoia , its still tough though. I hope you over come the anxiety and have a great holiday. I find the more often I go out it becomes a little easier. Maybe you could try going out a lot before your holiday so you will be mentally prepared and used to being out , maybe go for walks everyday if you can manage it .

Beautiful response
Yes , my meds sound the same family as yours ie: Brintellix and abilify .
I can't imagine life without them. I try really hard to go out everyday and I wish it was a joy instead of a dread.. But ya know , I feel so good when I accomplish an outing.. And Thankyou for understanding

Are you able to take short trips away from your home, gradually increasing the duration and how far away you go?
Thanks for this!
