I have been struggling hard against Rheumatoid Arthritis, the pain and fatigue that comes with it, as well as Major Depression and Generalized Anxiety disorder. Lately, I am crying over anything, everything, feeling brokenhearted and hopeless. My nerves are shot and am in need of frequent Ativan, to calm me. I feel as if I am falling apart, so much so that I no longer even recognize me! All of this is scaring me, just do not know what to do about it. Feel so lost!

Are you me? I've been in the same place for months. Are you in therapy? Do you take anything for the arthritis?

Hey there, are you seeing a psychiatrist as well as a therapist? I know how it is to feel like you're falling apart, I'm experiencing it right now too.
I'm sorry you're dealing with that illness, it's unfair to have something like that come over you. But now isn't the time for wallowing, you have to be your own advocate and actively pursue the best treatments available. I've looked into clinical trials for anxiety, you might consider doing the same for the RA. A quick search came up with this: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/home Do not take this lying down. You will find your way back to peace of mind, but you may have to fight for it. I hope you post updates, and I wish you the best.

I'm inclined to think that treatment to cope with your physical ailment will also improve your emotional health - the reverse is probably true too.
Do you take medication in addition to the ativan? This might be worth considering. |

I am sory for your illnes i know ts hard .Search for a good therapist and maybe a psicholog or psyhiatrics ,they are qualified for this and i am thinkning that they can help you for sure
