Omg, I have a tremendous fear of Thunderstorms Its one of my triggers...And you wouldnt believe whats about to happen outside...The Clouds are Black and it looks like its nighttime outside and the trees are like swaying back and forth like crazy... Theres warnings of every channel...

The thunder is so loud the house is shaking and it thunders every 2 seconds...And the storm isnt even here yet! My heart is beating so fast My chest hurts and I can hear it in my head...If we lose power I will faint, I hate losing power it makes me Feel helpless...Theres gonna be Hail and everything...I'm shaking Help?

non...crawl into bed, put the covers over your head and put on your favorite music with headphones so you don't hear the thunder....and most of all...remember to breathe

I used to be a lot more afraid of thunderstorms, but I still retain the fear of the power going out. Do you have a flashlight? I find it's comforting to have a flashlight within reach during thunderstorms. I think the headphones and music idea is good, and if that's not available, something to distract you, like a good book, might help.
