This is my story:
I am 48 male. 4 years ago a good day I woke up with a this ligthead dizziness that lasted me since almost two months. I went to several doctors and neurologists, who asked me to take an MRI. Fortunately I was normal. He said that seasickness was because of stress and anxiety, sent me some pills to relax and sleep better. After about 10 or 15 days after, my symptoms totally dissapeared. However, month and a half ago I returned to feel something similar, but this time note that i felt intermittent vertigo (head spinning) for about 5 days, which lasted no more than 2 seconds. but I noticed that every time that happened dizziness and pressure in the head was increasing until finally stay with this horrible feeling of dizziness that accompanies me every day 24/7. It is important to note that for the days that I began this dizziness my anxiety was 1000% since he feared for the loss of my job. Currently I still have that feeling lightheaded and dazed head. And I went to ENT and neurologist who told me it was again a result of much anxiety and sent me antidepressants (Lexapro) I wonder if any of you have felt the same? That treatment being followed? There is something that is giving them results? |

I have dizziness a lot myself. Some of it is as a result of medication side effects and some is the result of anxiety. One thing you didn't mentioned you tried that I tried is seeing a cardiologist. It could be from a blood flow problem. It's not for me but it is for some people.

![]() ![]() I have some similar symptoms to those you describe. And while mine may be due to anxiety, I also have been diagnosed with Meniere's Disease (a condition of the inner ear.) So I presume that my symptoms may also be related to that. I'm not doing anything to treat my symptoms. ![]() PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. There are many knowledgeable & caring members here.
