Before i begin the post i would like to say that i live in India; just a heads up.I've been diagnosed with depression and anxiety about a year ago and since the last 3 or 4 months, I've been turning to escapism. If i don't complete an assignment or fail to complete a lab record in time, i skip college telling my parents that i don't feel good or i have too study or somn like that, when really, all I'm doing is just surf the internet. Before that, i used to go to college no matter what, but now i just don't have the energy because... I don't know why. And this scares me.

Does your college provide counseling for students? This is where I went for help when in college. You may want to see a regular doctor to make sure it isn't something physical that is making you not have energy. I think it's time to seek some therapy before not showing up for your college courses becomes unmanageable. Escaping the situation isn't really possible, it's just prolonging the consequences which are sure to become worse the longer it's put off. The sooner you reach out for help and start dealing with the situation the better the outcome will be.
I wish you all the best.

Hello never. happy: I'm sorry you are having this difficulty. Since, as you mention in your post you live in India, I would not know what options you may have for mental health treatment. You mentioned you were diagnosed with depression & anxiety a year ago. So I presume there is some type of mental health or medical professional you've seen. Perhaps it's time for a return visit? Hopefully being here on PC is of some comfort & support. I wish you well...
