I had a attack today and i saw my friend with a teacher (we cannnot talk anymore but we can wave and say hi) anyways I waved to him i felt very nervous when i saw him with the teacher. Then the teacher said lets go talk to this person i thought it must be about me but after that i saw him at the buses and i said hi and whats up and he said hi and nothing much. what are these thoughts ? I am on ablifry for them but it does not seem to help anymore

It really sounds like paranoia to me. Don't dress too much. Like above poster said, neurontin (gabapentin) can help with anxiety. However I find it only helps with my GAD but not my attacks.

No it's not likely the cause UNLESS you're having rebound anxiety from not taking it regularly. That means that once it's out of your system, your body craves it and therefore you get anxious. But it really sounds like paranoia to me. There's some quizzes on PCs home page for paranoia that you might want to check out. |

An antipsychotic would most likely be prescribed. |

Well are you just thinking these thoughts or are you actually hearing and seeing things? Your pdoc would know the best med for paranoia (a second generation AP will help) and if you're having psychosis then really any AP would help. |

detour1, The experience you had sounds like social anxiety and/or rejection sensitivity. I'm not a medical professional, but that's what it sounds like to me.

my dad and I were talking about this. Whenever I get upset about something, I always go to the worst thing possible. Like if it's just a simple stomach ache, I'll start thinking it's something worse. I think a lot of people with anxiety tend to see things worse than what they really are. I wouldn't think anything of it, but if you really concerned def talk with your doc about it.
