I made plans to go on a date with a guy and my nerves are getting to me. I don't know if it's predate jitters or social anxiety in general, but the butterflies in my stomach won't stop. I just want to feel like I did when we were just talking and not planning on meeting each other in person. I felt warm and fuzzy and maybe blushed a bit, but now all I feel are those darn butterflies. I just want some confidence is all.

Just keep it in perspective that it's just meeting for the first time. Try not to let your fantasies go beyond that so you don't set yourself up for disappointment.

You've been texting with him, so you probably know some things you have in common. So that'll help with conversation.

Sometimes, social anxiety is a mix of performance anxiety and excitement. It's not necessarily all bad.
