I've been noticing this strange yet wonderful thing happening to me for the last couple days. After i drink coffee, for the next 4 hours, my life improves so dramatically. I feel happy, kind of content and full of energy. My anxiety, signs of depression all disappear without a trace. I feel fully functional. The concentration and memory problems i've been having gets resolved and im fully alert. And the best part is i dont turn manic ( im bipolar). Coffee is not just the usual "pick me up" for me, it lifts me up and hurls me to the moon, (LoL). Though Sure after, when the effect of coffee wears off i go back to the same old broken self.

So my question is, could this be it, that i just need a stimulant, like ritalin maybe, to help fix things that havent improved by anything else in last 2 years.

Hehe.. I so agree Leyla, I don't much like the taste of coffee either. So I make it with no water, and all milk. A spoon full of honey and it tastes yum
Thanks for this!

it turned out to be a state of mania (or hypomania, don't really know the difference). I came down hard by the end of the day, overrun by anxiety and fear. Sure did had fun riding out the rush and euphoria. I felt like myself, after a really long time.

Wish things were that simple, one med could fix everything. Talk about wishful thinking.

When I drink cofee I don't feel any different. But alcohol and lack of sleep give me the same effects as you described. I don't feel happy, with alcohol I may feel euphoric for some minutes, but at least I don't feel anxiety.
